The Ensemble Fellowship recognises sustained intellectual contribution and brings together a small, trusted group working across AI safety, governance, and philosophy.
The Fellowship is the second layer of Ensemble's community. Where our Ambassador Programme is open and university-wide, the Fellowship is selective and private. It is built on trust, contribution, and continuity.
Fellows are not selected through a public application. They are invited on the basis of sustained, serious engagement with Ensemble's work — whether through the ambassador programme, our events, or the broader research community. The Fellowship is intentionally flexible. There are no mandatory outputs, quotas, or performance metrics.
What we ask for is intellectual seriousness, generosity with ideas, and a genuine commitment to working across the disciplinary lines that convention has drawn.
Access to Fellow-only seminars and working sessions on problems in AI safety, governance, and philosophy that require sustained, focused attention.
Priority and VIP access to all Ensemble events, including closed-door roundtables with leading researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.
A long-term intellectual community and direct engagement with speakers, organisers, and researchers across London's AI ecosystem.
Fellows are people who have demonstrated something beyond attendance. They organise local discussions, contribute meaningfully to our seminars, connect communities, and bring intellectual seriousness to questions that resist easy answers.
We look for intellectual depth, community contribution, interdisciplinary openness, and the kind of reliability that sustains a research community over time.
